Bowmer + Kirkland has been selected by the Department for Education (DfE) as the main contractor on plans to redevelop Sir Frederick Gibberd College (SFG) in Harlow. This website supports our programme of community engagement and will be updated as the plans progress.
The project team are delighted to share the transformative plans with the community. The proposals will deliver an inspiring and sustainable school, provide state of the art education facilities and enable the school to remain operational during construction.
The proposals will meet DfE specifications and include the demolition of the closed teaching building, construction of a new main teaching block and a separate new sixth form block, refurbishment of the existing sports centre, removal of all temporary buildings and associated landscaping.
