The layout of the site has been a key consideration in planning the regeneration of SFG and includes the following elements;
- additional trees and landscaping added to create shade and improve green spaces
- canopies provide covered outside space for students to enjoy and additional PV
- site security and access strategy supports community use of external pitches outside school hours
- careful consideration of neighbouring homes and schools along Tendring Road
- responds to changes in site levels and ensures accessibility of site
- segregration of pedestrian and vehicle access and coach drop off bays
- transport statement outlines parking arrangements for cars, coach and cycles in detail
- a school travel plan will comply with the STARS scheme or equivalent to minimise impact of school travel on the surrounding area.
